PA police: Settlers opened fire at Palestinian near Ramallah

Ramallah – Ma’an – An Israeli settler opened fire on a Palestinian near the West Bank village of Silwad, outside of Ramallah, the Palestinian Authority police said on Sunday.

No injuries were reported in the incident, which appeared in the daily report of the police media office.

The report also states that Israeli forces installed a military checkpoint between the city of Nablus and the village of Asira Ash-Shamaliyya. The checkpoint was later removed without arrests or other incidents reported.

The police also said that Israeli soldiers also attacked Yousif Jamal Astah, 18, while he was standing in front of his house in the city of Tulkarem. According to the report, the youth suffered severe bruises.

In addition Israeli forces raided the house of Abed Ar-Ra’ouf in the city of Qalqiliya overnight, the police said. No arrests were reported.
