Israel announces this week's Ramadan entry restrictions

Bethlehem - Ma'an – Israeli police on Thursday announced restrictions for Palestinians traveling from the West Bank to East Jerusalem to perform Friday prayers on the first week of the holy month of Ramadan. Police said they would allow men over 50 and women over 45, in addition to holders of special permits from the Civil Administration, to enter occupied East Jerusalem, Palestine's capital.
Meanwhile, Israel Radio reported that thousands of police forces would be deployed in the Old City of Jerusalem to keep order.
