Expired olive oil seized in Nablus

Nablus – Ma’an – The Department of Agriculture for the Nablus municipality confiscated a large quantity of expired olive oil meant for sale on Wednesday, an offical said.
Ahdam Suleiman, head of the department, said that 6,000 kilograms of expired olive oil was impounded by the department, in cooperation with tax officials and the Nablus police.
Suleiman added that some of the substandard oil was seized from a storehouse, while the rest was found loaded in trucks en route to Nablus.
Suleiman further called on the public to ensure the olive oil in their possession was fit for consumption by having it examined and tested in a laboratory before use.
