Gaza – Ma’an – Representative of independent Palestinians Yasser Al-Wadiyeh said the de facto Gaza and West Bank caretaker governments agreed to release some detainees affiliated with their rival party ahead of the Muslim Eid Al-Adha.

Al-Wadiyeh said the promises from both governments came after "continuous efforts of the independent personalities" in both Palestinian areas. The spokesman said he had also secured a list of names of those prisoners who would be released.
