GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- The body of a 38-year-old man who had been stabbed to death was transferred to medics in the central Gaza Strip on Friday, an official said.

Director of Gaza ambulance and emergency services Muawiya Hassanein said the body of Sami Anan from the Zaytoun neighborhood was transferred to hospital by civilians at 11:30 p.m., having sustained several stab wounds to the legs and forearms, as well as several trauma wounds to the head.

Locals said the body was found near an old military base southwest of Gaza City.

Meanwhile, witnesses said an explosion rattled a deserted resistance training site in Tel As-Sultan, an area in the evacuated settlement of Atsmona west of Rafah in southern Gaza. Two people, reportedly combatants, were injured in the blast, losing parts of their limbs, witnesses added.
