JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- An armored truck carrying cash to Gaza returned to Israel without delivering its payload after activists sat in the road and prevented the truck from proceeding Tuesday, Israeli media reported.
Activists demanding the release of captive soldier Gilad Shalit positioned themselves on the only road leading to the Gaza Strip crossing, surrounded the truck and chanted slogans, The Jerusalem Post newspaper reported.
They chanted, "The money won't pass until Gilad is returned," the newspaper reported.
Israeli police decided not to disperse the protest, according to the report.
