GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- Palestinian lawmaker Salah Bardawil says the bid to join the UN is a "tactical move" that supports President Barack Obama’s next election campaign.

Bardawil, of Hamas, warned that the move would "set the borders for a Jewish country," therefore contributing to normalizing recognition of "the state of occupation and its borders."

The move would amount to the "criminalization and elimination of Palestinian resistance."

He added that the step was a mistake akin to the signing of the Oslo Accords.

BRAVO !!! WHAT FORESIGHT !!! WHAT INTELLECT !!! What an absolutely MAGNIFICENT EVALUATION of ultimate American political goals !!! Give him the Palestinian Legislator-of-the-Year Award !!! A true revelation so even if we would recognize a (second) Palestinian nation (which we won't) of how Hamas REALLY feels about us (wants Israel exterminated) !!! So onward and upward towards Palestinian "unity" and "reconciliation !!! Salah Bardawil, what in the hell would Hamas do without you ???

2 ) Hamas should make / their own UN bid

Call for a repeat of the 1948 invasion, and "push the Jews into the sea" !!
- That UN bid would better serve Israel, than Fatah's UN bid.

Besides from going broke after losing US aid, US contribution to UNWRA and Israeli collected on Palestinian behalf taxes and fees, new Palestinian state will face another huge problem after failed UN bid: they will need to take responsibility as a UN observer state for terror coming from Gaza and Shalit captivity. Abbas will need to answer to the world demands to free Shalit and stop terror without having any power in Gaza. Palestinians should be careful about their wishes.

In a way he is right. A Palestinian State will set the borders for a new Israeli State, don't know too much if it will help for the creation of a Jewish country. You don't have to be a Jew to be an Israeli. In the US we have lots of jews that became Jews because of convenience not because of religion. Actors, Politicians, ect...
