BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Egyptian ambassador to the Palestinian Authority Yasser Othman said Sunday that Palestinian reconciliation will enhance Egypt's efforts to end the blockade on Gaza.

Reconciliation will secure major improvements to the operation of the Rafah crossing linking Egypt and the coastal enclave, Othman said.

Egypt is also considering opening an embassy in the Gaza Strip, he said, adding that all decisions would depend on the implementation of the terms of the reconciliation agreement.

"Egypt will not take any decisions that might maintain disagreement between the Palestinians," the ambassador said, noting that Egypt is focused on completing a national unity deal between Hamas and Fatah.

The two leaders of Palestine's top political factions met at the end of November for the first time since they signed a reconciliation deal in the Egyptian capital in May 2011.

Ongoing war against occupied Palestine is so beneficial to Israel that the Jewish state will prolong it indefinitely. The context of war perpetuates enormous flow of American money and military assistance, abets theft of Palestinian land, and masks the Jewish State's ruined integrity. Will Israel agree to any reasonable peace just because Palestine again achieves a unified government? No way. Not even close. Only force, UN and NATO, actually deploying or credibly threatening, can do that.

The Gaza blockade is capable of being broken by the combined actions of Egypt and the newly united Palestinian Authority. There is one possible obstacle .........Israel .........who might conceivably invade the Gaza Strip. The world awaits ..........

3 ) Avoid Fantasy & / Accept Reality

1- It seems that this Egypt envoy denies basic reality, since clearly a Hamas-PLO Reconciliation will help nothing, except the relations between Hamas and the PLO, while 2- Anyone who accepts reality, rather than such fantasies, realizes that ending the conflict with the Jewish state of Israel is the only way to end the Israeli blockade of Gaza !! If only diplomats would start dealing with reality, rather than promising rediculous fantasies, both peace and Palestine could result !!!

Oh no Yasser! Don't bounce the ball of blame back on the victims in Gaza! You can't shrug off Egypt's responsibility to END Egypt & Israel's ILLEGAL blockade(WAR CRIME)on Gazans. The blockade from Egypt's end has NOTHING to do with reconciliation! U are spewing Zionist-approved Mubarak-speak there buddy!Egypt's Gen.Mubarak-Junta aided & abetted militarist occupying-State Israel's ILLEGAL blockade, for a BRIBE/PRICE,offered by Tel Aviv & D.C. So,don't include reconciliation in ending war crimes!!
