GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli warplanes bombed the northern Gaza Strip early Wednesday, causing damage but no injuries, casting uncertainty over a truce deal agreed 24 hours earlier.

Israeli airstrikes hit an open area west of Gaza City, sparking a large fire that burned down a wood warehouse and damaged nearby homes, a Ma'an correspondent said.

Palestinian Civil Defense forces said firefighters spent two and a half hours putting out the blaze.

An Israeli army statement said the strike "targeted two terror activity sites ... in response to the rockets fired at Israel over the past day."

Eight rockets hit southern Gaza on Tuesday, injuring an Israeli and damaging cars, a military spokesman said.

Four days of Israeli airstrikes killed 25 Palestinians and wounded more than 80 since Friday, and Gaza militants fired a volley of rockets into Israel, wounding eight Israelis.

Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance Committees said Tuesday they had agreed to an Egypt-brokered deal to end hostilities.

An Egyptian official said a truce to end the violence was in effect since 1 a.m. local time (2300 GMT) Tuesday morning.

The story above got the chronology backwards:
[1st] "AFTER a truce deal is agreed, 8 rockets were fired into Israel,
with 1 injured", and THEN
[2nd] There was an Airstrike hits open area, burning down wood factory !!

"Two Grad rockets fired toward Beersheba; Iron Dome gets one
Launch is the most serious breach of an informal cease-fire reached after a violent weekend during which over 200 rockets were fired from Gaza into southern Israel; second rocket reportedly explodes in an empty field".

To Tobias #1: You are -- perfectly consciously, I believe -- omitting the Israelis shooting up a funeral after the cease fire. In any case, all this was an unprovoked and unbelievably juvenile act of Israeli barbarity literally brought on by nothing more than a fit of pique over learning that they couldn't bomb Iran. I mean, I knew you guys were evil, but this was ridiculous. It was like watching a disturbed child. He can't have the cookie -- so he kicks the puppy. It was sick.

Sure all palestinians with this rockets,

, And we do not want this truce because we do not have anything in Gaza even lose it
We do not have electricity, no water, no work and a very bad status

Let us die with dignity
all Shame to Israel and Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip with iron and steal it

To #5, the world feels your pain. Please realize that this issue does not happen in the West Bank, where the standard of living is higher than most of the entire middle east thanks to Israeli assistance. If you want to live well, learn to make peace with your Jewish neighbors who welcome peace, and abandon the war mongering Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and PRC

#6 -"the world feels your pain" - how patronising! Then you have the nerve to give Israel a pat on the back for their "assistance" to the West Bank for their "higher standard of living" - stealing land, demolishing homes, restricting movement, strangling their economy, slowly killing them one by one... Nothing like rubbing salt in the wound, eh?

9 ) @ Baker-Fateh #5 / Peace Unconditionally

I feel your pain too, and I would probably hate Israel too if I was
"in your shoes" (a USA expression), but Mo (#6) is right, and
You can, and will, have all those things (electricity, water, work, etc.),
but first Gaza Must Accept Peace (NOT another truce) Unconditionally !!
