Netanyahu's letter presents a dead end, Zaki said.
RAMALLAH (Ma’an) -- Fatah official Abbas Zaki said Monday that Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu's letter on the peace process presents a "dead-end."

Netanyahu's response to a letter from President Mahmoud Abbas outlining his position on peace talks was delivered by envoy Yitzhak Molcho late Saturday.

Speaking to official Voice of Palestine radio, Zaki said the letter outlined long-term solutions that would take 20 years to implement, which he warned would allow Israel time to take over all Palestinian lands.

Israel still views a Palestinian state as temporary, and has put Palestinian decision-makers in front of a dead-end, he told the station.

The PLO central committee discussed the letter at their Sunday meeting, and mulled ways to proceed on the local, regional and international level, he added.

Time to throw the PLO/PA Tunis gang away and declare Palestine free of their corrupt collaborationist regime. The PA is the other face of the settlements coin.

I don't think that is it at all. Israelis are buying SECURITY, and a complete END OF THE CONFLICT. However, if the Israelis are really buying time, then wouldn't it be wise of Abbas to negotiate right now, and compromise quickly, so as to deprive the Israelis of the "time to take over the west bank and jerusalem" ??

To understand Israel state of mind you need to watch the movie "Lawrence of Arabia". When Lawrence went to see the British General in charge, he asked him for mechanism weapons and rifles for the Arabs to beat the Turks. The General agreed but yet he asked his adviser if he can do that, the adviser response was, if you do it they'll become independent. So the general said than he wont. Israel is doing the same keeping the Palestinians unarmed with few rockets with defenseless territories.

Respectively Mr.Abbas Zaki? What the f***k did you expect? This is Zionist-led Israel, not a law-abiding,human-rights observing-caring nation! It's a white colonial, racist state&plunderer, that has no intention of EVER letting the "natives" self-govern or self-determine.Colony Israel doesn't want to need Arab Palestinians, for anything. It wants Palestinians to be totally REDUNDANT,to be expelled only, with no rights as HUMANS!The PA exists only as a Zionist PEON,in IDF/USG racist shackles!

"What the f***k did you expect", with Pals never having missed an opportunity, to miss an opportunity, and always repeating the same mistakes, again, & again ?? Regarding your claim of not being "a law-abiding, human-rights observing nation," everyone knows which of the two peoples: a] use their own civilians as "human-shields", b] intentionally target the other's civilians (both War Crimes), c] denied prisoners legal & even Red Cross visits (Geneva Con. Viol.), & d] It's NOT Israel !!!!
