NEGEV (Ma'an) -- Israeli bulldozers demolished Bedouin village al-Araqib for the 39th time on Monday, a lawyer said.

Ayman Odeh, who witnessed the demolition, told Ma'an that demolishing people's homes should not be a routine for Israel.

Israel considers al-Araqib and all Bedouin villages in the Negev illegal, while Bedouins say it is their ancestral land.

The Bedouins appear to be slow learners. Additionally, by definition "Bedouins" are wanderers, migratory people. I doubt seriously they can prove any legal right to the land they are squatting on. They should simply do as everyone else is required to do----- rent or purchase the land or home where they choose to live.

Rebuild again. The Bedouins have been there thousands of years before these Eastern European occupiers and land thieves set foot in Palestine.

The bias here has no bounds. Jewish homes are demolished too if they are built without permission on STATE OWNED PUBLIC LAND. I've seen it Israel has built beautiful new towns for Bedouins and they choose to live in squalor. They lie empty

What do you think your states would do if the Native American indians,
or native Aborigines, rebuilt for the 39th time (if they lived that long) ??

Free Palestine. It is Palestinian land now and forever

Why is it "Palestinian land now and forever", when it was:
NOT "Palestinian land" when the Romans invaded,
NOT "Palestinian land" when the Ottomans invaded,
NOT "Palestinian land" when the Jordanians/Egyptians invaded,
NOT "Palestinian land", when Israel reacquired the Land, and
IT NEVER WILL BE "Palestinian land", while Arabs, that started calling themselves "Palestinians" in the 1960s, continue refusing to negotiate Peace/Statehood Agreement with the state of Israel.

The Bedouin do have ancestral claims to this land, as proven by aerial photo graphs of fields of agriculture, all across the Negev, taken in the early 1900s. Many have land deeds, and Winston Churchill recognised their entitlement to the land during the Mandate. They were there well before the Zionists came to colonise the land, and none of the Negev was actually purchased by the JNF as was done in the Galilee and some plots in the coastal strip. Beersheba was a completely Arab town before 1948.

The Bedouin numbered a few thousand and wandered between the Negev, Transjordan and Sinai during the time of the ottomans and the British, as there was mo border. So their claims will be just as good in Sinai. Let's see what Egypt does with some new villAges.
