HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Undercover Israeli soldiers shot and injured a 26-year-old Palestinian man in Beit Jala on Monday, a local official said.

Plain-clothes soldiers shot Sakhr Husain al-Alami, from Beit Ummar, as he traveled to work in Gilo settlement, said Muhammad Awad, the spokesman for the Beit Ummar popular committee.

Al-Alami is in a stable condition at Beit Jala governmental hospital, Awad told Ma'an.

What's up with those dumb floppy hats that the Israeli soldiers are always wearing?

To call this story light on facts is an understatement. Or maybe there's nothing more to it. Some soldiers shot a Palestinian on his way to work (at a settlement), presumably, as no other reason is given, for fun. That's it. End of story. #1 Perhaps it's a rock camouflage hat. Like a Ghillie suit. He lies down. Keeps very still. Then jumps up and shoots someone.

#1 You should see what the Israeli women wear when they go to work in Tel-Aviv on their motorcycles.
