BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) – Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah will deliver a televised speech Thursday addressing the unmanned plane which penetrated Israel’s airspace on Saturday.
Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV said the address would begin at 8:30 p.m. Beirut time.
Israel's air force downed the drone shortly after it entered Israeli airspace on Saturday. Senior Israeli officials later linked the incident to Hezbollah.
Israel and Hezbollah last engaged in direct military confrontation in the summer of 2006, as Israeli forces launched air raids over south Lebanon as Hezbollah fired rockets into Israeli territory.
The outcome of the war was seen as a rare defeat for Israel's powerful military.
Israel has long threatened military action against Hezbollah's backer Iran over its alleged nuclear weapons program. Iran insists its nuclear program is peaceful.
