TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma'an) -- Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of Israel said Thursday that Israel must reach an agreement with the Palestinians within four years, Israeli media reported.

Israel's Ynet news site said Olmert, speaking at Columbia University in New York, believes the conflict is the most important issue on the agenda ahead of Israeli elections next year.

Olmert said newly elected US President Barack Obama would support Israel but does not care for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on a personal level.

Israel still "has a friend in the White House," he said.

1 ) NOT 4 Years for Israel / \ BUT 4 Months for Palestine

It is unlikely that Olmert even said such nonsense, but if so,
he is wrong, since ISRAEL ALREADY HAS WHAT IT NEEDS,
a strong army with defensible 1967 "borders" !!

Palestine, on the other hand, is likely to "need a peace deal within just 4" months, following their UN Bid for non-member UN statehood, which will likely result in eliminating most of Palestine's fundings, from both it's major international donors (Canada, USA, EU, etc.), and Israeli tax distributions !!

2 ) morals / ethics
