GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Syrian government forces shot dead a Palestinian woman who held a senior position in the Central Bank of Syria, local activists said.
Maysa Abu Baker, who was a director at the bank, was shot in a raid on her home, the coordination committee of Yarmouk refugee camp said in a statement.
Abu Baker fell into a coma and died in a Damascus hospital, the committee said.
It added that Syrian forces loyal to embattled President Bashar Assad also shot dead Mahmoud Ahmad al-Samak in Yarmouk, the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Syria.
