Canada 'condemns Hamas, stands with Israel'

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Canada's Foreign Minister John Baird said Wednesday that Ottawa backed Israel over Hamas after violence flared into the Gaza Strip following an Israeli assassination.

“We fundamentally believe that Israel has the right to defend itself and its citizens from terrorist threats," Baird said in a statement.

“Far too often, the Jewish people find themselves on the front lines in the struggle against terrorism, the great struggle of our generation. Just last weekend, more than 100 rockets rained down on civilians in southern Israel from positions in the Gaza Strip.

“Canada condemns the terrorist group Hamas and stands with Israel as it deals with regional threats to peace and security.”

Thanks to Mr. Baird for taking a stance against terrorism and letting the world know that Quebec and Canada are not like the hypocritical Europeans. We stand with Israel in eliminating these islamic terrorists who don't want peace. They shoot at Israelis, Israel shoots back, fair and square!

When the consequences of Hamas terrorist rocket fire becomes too high to stomach in both lives and damage, Hamas will stop the rockets. Hamas has only itself to blame for this situation.
