BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Israeli military says no rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip since Sunday, as Palestinian officials say talks about a possible ceasefire are underway in Cairo.
An army spokeswoman said there were no reports of rocket attacks since midnight.
Israel, meanwhile, continued its assault on Gaza for a sixth day.
Five people were reported dead after an airstrike in southern Gaza, and reporters in Gaza City said a massive blast at 2 a.m. damaged a police station.
An air attack also injured at least 10 people in the al-Zaitoun area of Gaza City.
