GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israel will close the Kerem Shalom crossing with Gaza on Monday due to ongoing violence in the area, a Palestinian official said.

Border official Raed Fattouh told Ma'an on Sunday that the Gaza crossing will be closed to the "deteriorating security situation."
