GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- The sole crossing for commercial goods into Gaza stayed closed on Wednesday due to security reasons, a Palestinian official said.
Raed Fattouh, a Gaza official in charge of goods entering the coastal enclave, told Ma’an that he was told by the Israelis that Kerem Shalom crossing would be closed due to the security situation.
The Kerem Shalom crossing at the extreme south of the Israel-Gaza border, next to Egyptian territory, is the only freight passage into the blockaded territory.
