RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Palestinians protested in Ramallah on Wednesday against the visit of US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, Ma'an's reporter said.
Demonstrators called for a US boycott and said Palestinians should resist US pressure.
Clashes broke out between Palestinian Authority security forces and demonstrators, and journalists were prevented from taking photos at the scene.
After talks in Ramallah with President Mahmoud Abbas, Clinton held a second meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before heading to Egypt, the main broker in efforts to end eight days of fighting and avert a possible Israeli ground offensive.
