GAZA CITY (Ma’an) – Palestinian journalist Ali Muhammad al-Agha died early Saturday in Cairo, family members said. He was 37.

According to his family, al-Agha had been on vacation for 10 days when he felt pains and was evacuated to a hospital in Cairo late Friday where medics announced his death Saturday morning.

Family members said he was in good health.

Al-Agha was director of the Gaza office of Birzeit University’s Media Development Center, and an editor of the center’s al-Hal monthly newspaper.

He will be buried in his hometown Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

May he rest in peace. Journalists in Gaza are amongst the most brave in the world including international journalists that risk their lives to broadcast Israel's massacres. Israel can bomb media institutions all it wants but the truth of its brutality cannot be stopped from being exposed!

When U consider the physical,emotional,psychological,social conditions that all brave PALESTINIANS have had 2 endure under illegal blockade(land,sea,air)& overall effect of 77YRS of Zionist invasion&Israeli colonization of Arab Palestine.And then,have courage to STILL report it,from the very ground Israel persecutes EVERY DAY,by all methods,covert&overt! Gazan's of all ages should B hailed as TRUE HEROES,trying 2 get the WORLD 2 defend human RIGHTS,over USG colonial & client(Israel)MIGHT! BRAVO!
