BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Fatah leader Amin Maqboul said Saturday he will visit the Gaza Strip on Sunday with a delegation from his party.

The visit was requested by Fatah chief President Mahmoud Abbas, he said.

The 11-member delegation will visit the wounded and families of those killed after Israel's eight-day bombardment of Gaza, Maqboul said.

They will hold meetings with other Fatah members in Gaza but have no plans to talk to Hamas or other political parties, he said, adding that they would not turn down invitations to do so.

The delegations includes Jamal Al-Shati, Jamal Abu Allil, Mahmoud Bakr Hijazi, Diyab Alloush, Sarhan Dwikat, Nayef Switat, Haitham Arar Manasrah, and female Fatah leaders Abir Al-Wahidi, Adalleh Al-Atira, and Dalal Salameh.

They need an invitation to visit their brothers? They got many appeals to go to Gaza.

This visit would be paving the way for much needed reconciliation between all parties. You are all brothers for God sake!
