EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Egyptian authorities on Monday transferred 200 tons of food aid to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing, Egyptian security officials said.

The Emirati Red Crescent Association donated 100 tons and the Cairo-based Shariaa Association also sent 100 tons. The Shariaa Association will deliver a further 300 tons of food aid to the war-torn enclave, security officials said.

On Tuesday, another 200 tons of food will be delivered to Gaza through Rafah, donated by the union of Egyptian doctors.

UNRWA will send 1,700 tons of rice, oil and sugar to Gaza later this week, the official added.

That's a temporary good! But we will all rechoice when Gazan/Palestinian people don't ACTUALLY need basic provisions delivered, like RATIONS to a POW camp,still-essentially-under Israeli blockade(land, sea, air). When they can PLANT,GROW,raise, manufacture, sell and profit freely from farming, crafts, construction etc w/out it getting BOMBED by Israel. That's independence & goodbye to handouts & life-line tunnels! It's time,Obama!Do the STATESMAN,thing,Barack, that USA can proud of! Earn that NOBEL!
