EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Egyptian authorities on Monday transferred 200 tons of food aid to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing, Egyptian security officials said.
The Emirati Red Crescent Association donated 100 tons and the Cairo-based Shariaa Association also sent 100 tons. The Shariaa Association will deliver a further 300 tons of food aid to the war-torn enclave, security officials said.
On Tuesday, another 200 tons of food will be delivered to Gaza through Rafah, donated by the union of Egyptian doctors.
UNRWA will send 1,700 tons of rice, oil and sugar to Gaza later this week, the official added.
