Gaza man dies of wounds sustained 25 years ago

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A man from the Gaza Strip died on Sunday from medical complications resulting from an injury sustained in the first intifada, a family member said.
Issa al-Habbash told Ma'an that Ismail al-Habbash, from al-Nuseirat refugee camp, was shot in 1987 by an expanding bullet known as a dum-dum.
Ismail, who was 17 at the time, was hit in the abdomen and lost his kidneys and part of his intestine, spending the remainder of his life moving from one hospital to another Issa al-Habbash said.
