Egypt kills African migrant near Israel border

EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma’an) -- Egypt killed an African migrant and detained 39 others who were en route to Israel in the Sinai peninsula on Thursday, security sources said.

Egyptian officials said one of the migrants refused to stop after being ordered by security forces. The identity and nationality of the victim were not immediately available.

The migrants, from Eritrea, Sudan and Ethiopia, were transferred to security forces for questioning. A number of them are women, according to the sources.

Yet another war crime by Egypt - shooting and killing more unarmed civilian refugees. The terrible tragedy is that nobody cares. They poor sucker wasn't a Palestinian so nobody cares about his human rights or his civil rights. Tens of refugees have been mercilessly murdered in cold blood by Egyptian soldiers, maybe even hundreds or more. Where is the useless UN? Where are the human rights NGOs? Where is the outrage? The sad truth is the people who should be helping are not. Shame on them.

Brian, Yes you are right but maybe you should look inwards and see how israel are performing war crimes and illegal expansions in such a magnitude that makes what Egypt is doing, a drop in the water.

Moral, this is about the immigration debate, not the conflict. Israel is getting a lot of flack over its treatment of immigrants, whereas countries like egypt conduct gross human rights abuses daily and are never criticized. These immigrants would be much better off in Israel than in any other country in the region save for turkey. this article is a case in point.
