EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma’an) -- An Egyptian officer and two soldiers died Friday after their tank overturned in Sheikh Zuwaid in the northern Sinai, security sources said.

Eight soldiers were also injured in the incident which occurred on the Rafah-el-Arish international road, they said.

Ambulances transferred the injured to el-Arish general hospital.

A similar incident in the same area last Friday killed a soldier and injured five others.
