TURKEY (Ma'an) -- President Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to visit Turkey on Monday, the Palestinian embassy in the country said.

Abbas will meet in Ankara with his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul, Turkish premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan, foreign minister Ahmed Davutoglu and speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cemil Cicek.

The Palestinian embassy will organize a dinner hosting a Palestinian folklore band on Tuesday. Turkish officials and diplomats will be invited to the dinner in recognition of the role Turkey played to support the Palestinian UN bid.

good that Abbas is strengthening ties with Turkey, but RECONCILIATION/UNITY of the Palestinian people is far more important at this time! so far, there's been nothing but excuses (e.g. egypt's conflict, hamas celebration, now Abbas international tour) despite the talk to commit. and time is ticking away....day after day after day Pals are still NOT unified. this leaves all Pals dangerously vulnerable. izrahell knows this all too well and they will take criminal advantage of it very soon, again.

Excuse me Maan? Are U being selective in your posting again? National news bro's not factional! Freedom of speech, freedom of opinion.Wider analysis of these events please.Considering the blood-soaked Western-led-sectarian coup in Syria,&Turkey's role in that, along with Qatari funding of the Islamist extremists in Syria(fresh from Libya/Iraq/Leb/Jord.)&the Qatari pipeline thru'Saudi,S.Syria to Turkey via Israel & Qatar's focus on Palestinians.Where does Abbas/Hamas stand with these links?
