GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- One man was killed and seven people were injured during a family dispute in northern Gaza on Wednesday, police said.

Ayman Batniji, spokesman for Gaza's police force, told Ma'an that a 24-year-old man was shot dead and seven relatives injured during a family fight in Jabalia.

The circumstances of the dispute are unclear.

Police arrived at the scene and have opened an investigation into the incident.
