Former Israeli army chief dies aged 68

TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma'an) -- Former Israeli army chief Amnon Lipkin-Shahak died of cancer on Monday aged 68, Israeli media reported.

He served in the Israeli army from 1962 to 1998, the Israeli daily Haaretz said, serving as chief of staff from 1995.
