GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- Hamas in Lebanon condemned the remarks of some Lebanese officials urging against aid for refugees from Syria's Yarmouk refugee camp and not allowing Palestinians into Lebanon.
In a statement, the Hamas refugee center in Lebanon said: “We appreciate the Lebanese hosting refugees from Yarmouk camp, but we are worried of the remarks of some Lebanese directions which call to close the borders and not to welcome refugees.
"We consider the remarks as racist and do not build a relationship of brotherhood between both nations”.
Hamas said it was confident that displaced Palestinians would return to Yarmouk in light of an agreement between factions to guarantee the safety of residents.
