JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- An undercover unit of the Israeli police detained six Palestinian youths in East Jerusalem neighborhood Silwan on Saturday evening.

The force, who were dressed as Palestinians, detained four minors and two other youths in the restive district, police spokeswoman Luba al-Sumri said.

She said the teens are wanted on suspicion of throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at a settler house in the Palestinian neighborhood.

Local group, the Wadi al-Hilweh information center, said after the arrests, the main street of the community was closed.

Silwan -- adjacent to the Old City's Dome of the Rock compound and Western Wall -- is a populated by a number of settler homes under heavy Israeli guard, and the site of frequent clashes with forces on arrest raids targeting the Palestinian population.

Israel insists that Jerusalem is its "eternal and indivisible" capital, and annexed the city's eastern sector after a 1967 war in a move never recognized by the international community.

For Palestinians, East Jerusalem is the capital of their promised state.

For Palestinians, East Jerusalem is the capital of their promised state? It is not promised! It is Legal, under international law, currently under Occupation. It is the Zionist side which uses the term "promised", as they have no legal right to it.
