NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Settlers destroyed over 200 olive trees in a Nablus village on Friday, an official said.

Dozens of settlers from the illegal outpost of Esh Kodesh raided the village of Qusra early Friday and uprooted at least 210 olive trees, settlement monitoring official Ghassan Daghlas told Ma'an.

The trees were owned by Gamal Abdel-Aziz, Abdul Hassan, Abdul Ahmed and Noman Abu.

The village of Qusra has been subject to several violent attacks in recent weeks by settlers from nearby outposts.

On Thursday, settlers from the Esh Kodesh outpost fired on Palestinians in the village, shooting Samer Masameer, 26, in the leg.

Last Saturday, settlers raided the village, firing live ammo into the air, and some days earlier had uprooted more than 190 olive trees. Several residents of the village were assaulted, and homes and a tractor were also damaged in the raid.

The Nablus region of the West Bank experiences a particularly high rate of settler attacks, with settlements and Palestinian villages in close proximity to one another.

Settler attacks on Palestinian communities and their property are systematic and rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

All Israeli settlements are considered illegal under international law.

Pretty funny, really, in a morbid sense. There's this group of people that spit on priests, desecrate churches and mosques, stone children, rund down toddlers, shoot all and sundry, steal everything...and pull up trees. Some consider them praiseworthy. Others think maybe they have rabies.

'Settler attacks on Palestinian communities and their property are systematic and rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.' That would be because Israel is an evil state. One would think this would be obvious to all by this point.

#2 "Others think maybe they have rabies." Looks like a spell check correction for rabbis. Both work. When you come to think of it.

#3 - "Israel is an evil state," which should be "obvious to all by now." Here we have a sort of "Israel can do anything" type of government, bi-partisan, which is almost as bad as yours, and equally difficult to understand. Our press never gets any info of the type which comes out of this site so people don't really know what is going on and if you try to tell them, well you are labelled - guess - "anti-Semite. But things are gradually changing as more news gets out, thanks to Bibi's madness.

Elected American representatives are currently bought by the king makers/election funders/media organizations. Peace loving people and those respectful of human rights shouldn't look for leadership from them. What will make the difference is the refusal of supporting the Occupation by boycotting companies and institutions embedded with these criminals. End AIPAC's rein and regain international law.

The really creepy thing about these violent settlers is that they think they're doing the RIGHT thing. Maybe even an "observant" thing, carrying out the Statutes and Judgements of I AM, maybe avenging Israel for the attack by Amalek by destroying their trees. And they're willing to inculcate this stuff in their children, giving them NO chance of a sane existence. And committing the double crime of child abuse AND incitement to racial hatred and violence: I mean imagine trying anything comparable
