BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian protester and an Israeli soldier were injured Wednesday in clashes near Bethlehem's Aida refugee camp, medics and the Israeli army said.

A young Palestinian was hospitalized after he was hit in the shoulder by a high-velocity tear gas canister, Red Crescent official Abdul-Halim Jaafra told Ma'an.

Another Palestinian suffered severe breathing problems after inhaling tear gas, he added.

An Israeli military spokesman told Ma'an that around 50 Palestinians hurled 18 firebombs and nine pipe bombs at Israel's wall close the camp, causing damage to the wall.

Israeli forces arrived and were pelted with rocks, lightly injuring one soldier, the army spokesman said, adding that forces responded with riot dispersal means.

In separate clashes in the village of Tuqu, southeast of Bethlehem, Israeli forces fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at Palestinians who were throwing stones at settler cars.

An Israeli civilian was injured by a stone, locals and the Israeli army said.

For your safety do not throw rocks, stay out of riots. The IDF will not hesitate to shoot you. Do not go near borders, or near military posts, do not gang up against pedestrians. That's if you don't want to loose your life sooner than expected.

Re RW #1: RW wants you to bow in submission to your masters. I would assume he takes himself to be one of them.

Well this made my day:) "..causing damage to the wall".. You need a hell of a lot more than those "bombs" to damage that b*tch! Is there anything more important to do for those Israeli soldiers, than to play with the Palestinians? You already have the wall, stay on your side of it now! Molotov cocktails can NOT hurt your precious Wall!

Why on earth do they shoot tear gas canisters AT PEOPLE? Even IDF instructions don't allow that, knowing well that a direct hit by such a thing can easily kill a person. But maybe that's what they want to happen anyway? In this case they succeed without the use of "live ammunition" - what an expression!
