GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Islamic Jihad's military wing warned Friday that it would respond if Israel continued to violate a ceasefire deal agreed in November.

In remarks published on Islamic Jihad-affiliated media, Al-Quds Brigades spokesman Abu Ahmad said the group never expected Israel to adhere to the agreement, signed on Nov. 21 to end an eight-day war that left 170 Palestinians and six Israelis dead.

"We are observing what is happening on the ground, however we want to give the Egyptians an opportunity to maintain what has been agreed on," Abu Ahmad.

"We have our own calculations and evaluations, and eventually we will deal with these violations if they continue," he added.

Israel agreed to refrain from targeting individuals in border areas of the Gaza Strip, but Israeli forces have shot dead at least three Palestinians and frequently breached the border since the ceasefire was signed.

Izrael will not stop so why wait? in fact Hamas should do the same. Trying to save Morsi's political image just for his own ego trip will not benefit the Pals. Morsi appears to have become a puppet for the west and the so called ceasefire never was honored by Z state. Z state is lawless and has no intentions of abiding by laws. Don't go down another Oslo dead end road with a phony ceasefire that only allows Izrael the upper hand to keep building illegal settlements without resistance. It's a WAR

No doubt about it: Israel is violating the agreement and as yet, Palestine is not. But what does the Egyptian moderator have to say? What? Could you speak a bit louder please?

Gaza is still under occupation. A fence between Gaza and Israel is but a separation between Jews and Palestinians, So obviously Israel can enter Gaza any time they feel like with or without any provocation.

Palestine is as recognized to exist as a sovereign state with pre-1967 borders by 138 UN members. Palestine will decide who is Palestinian.

If an Islamic Jihad "response" actually happens, likely it will be ineffective at harming Israelis, but it will draw a deadly Israeli response, and cause many Gaza civilian deaths, since it will use the civilians as human-shields !!
