GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Malaysia will donate $800,000 to fund two healthcare projects in the Gaza Strip, the Malaysian premier's wife announced Tuesday during a visit to the enclave.
Rosmah Mansor, wife of Malaysian Prime Minister Muhammad Najib Abdul Razak, announced the funds during a reception at the Abdul-Aziz al-Rantisi Hospital in Gaza City attended by Health Minister Mufeed Mukhalalati.
Mukhalalati said the visit by the Malaysian delegation reflected the fraternity and unity between Muslim countries.
The delegation arrived Tuesday in Gaza via the Rafah crossing and was welcomed by a Hamas delegation led by Gaza premier Ismail Haniyeh.
