GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Egyptian authorities on Wednesday allowed deputy speaker Ahmad Bahar to enter the Gaza Strip after detaining him for over two hours at Cairo airport, officials said.
Majed Abu Murad, a spokesman for the Palestinian Legislative Council, told Ma'an that the delegation of two other parliament members and media was held for over two hours.
The delegation was free Wednesday to continue toward Gaza, he said.
It was not immediately clear why Egyptian authorities stopped the group.
