3 dead in Ramallah car accident, children injured

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian woman and her two nieces were killed in a car accident on Thursday in the central West Bank, police said.
Sana Mufeed Khalaf, 45, lost control of her car while overtaking on the road between Ramallah villages Deir Yazia and Ain Arik, causing it to collide with a cement truck, according to a police report.
Passengers Bara Hussain Harish, 19, and Samah Sameh Shalabi, 22, as well as the driver, were instantly killed.
Khalaf's two children, one still an infant, were seriously injured in the accident.
The family is from Beituniya and they were traveling to a wedding, the police report said.
