HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Dozens of activists protested on Friday by a settlement near Hebron demanding Israel reopen a road linking the city with southern towns.
Protesters gathered near Haggay settlement demanding Israel reopen a main road linking Hebron to al-Samu, Dura and Dhahiriya
"We are fed-up with the bypass roads. We want to live with dignity on our own lands which the settlers stole from us," a taxi driver told Ma'an.
Another activist said the protest marked the beginning of a campaign to reopen the road.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said around 40 Palestinians "rioted" in the area and that forces dispersed them.
