RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- A 3-year-old boy died on Friday from wounds sustained in a car accident that killed three women in the central West Bank a day earlier.

Saada Khalaf was critically injured Thursday when his mother Sana Mufeed Khalaf, 45, lost control of her car while overtaking on the road between Ramallah villages Deir Yazia and Ain Arik, according to a police report.

The car collided with a cement truck, instantly killing the driver and her nieces Bara Hussain Harish, 19, and Samah Sameh Shalabi, 22.

Medics said Saada Khalaf died in hospital on Friday from his wounds.

The family is from Beituniya and they were traveling to a wedding, the police report said.
