TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma'an) -- President Mahmoud Abbas will invite newly-elected Israeli MKs to Ramallah to discuss reviving peace talks, senior PLO official Yasser Abed Rabbo said Thursday.
"We invite the Israeli parties, particularly the new ones, for dialogue on future accords," said Abed Rabbo, the Israeli news site Ynet reported.
The PLO secretary-general said Abbas wanted to hold the meeting within weeks, before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu forms a new coalition government following Tuesday's national elections.
A Palestinian source told Ynet that Abbas planned to invite first-time MKs, including Yair Lapid, whose party Yesh Atid won 19 seats, as well as MKs from Labor, Meretz and Likud.
