RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- A woman died on Tuesday after falling from the fifth floor of an apartment building in Birzeit, north of Ramallah, medics said.

The 27-year-old woman, identified only as Q.A., fell from the building in the early hours of Tuesday and was transferred to hospital but died from her injuries.

Police have opened an investigation into the incident.
