Israeli authorities frequently demolish "illegal" Palestinian structures.
JERUSALEM (Ma’an) – Israeli forces on Tuesday delivered demolition notices to all Palestinian families in Fuheidat neighborhood east of Anata village in northeast Jerusalem, residents said.

According to the notices, residents can demur before Feb. 17.

A Ma’an reporter said about 200 Palestinians live in the neighborhood which is located to the west of a large Israeli military base called Anatot.

The Israeli forces plan to remove the neighborhood because it is close to the base.

In 2011 a young Bedouin girl suffered severe injuries after being shot in an incident her family blamed on the Israeli military, which denied involvement at the time.

In 2007 a Palestinian girl died two days after being shot by a border police officer near Anata.

#1 The law in East Jerusalem is only recognized by israelis, not by the rest of the world who do not recognize East Jerusalem as an Israeli city. On the other hand IF IT WAS an Israeli city, then these people whose homes you are demolishing are citizens...but they're not....because they're Arabs. You only recognize them as "residents" and as such, you don't recognize their rights under Israeli law. The same Israeli law you practice against them when it is helps you achieve your racist goals.

For a Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem, where Israel has sovereignty:
- it has to be "only recognized by Israelis, and
- "the rest of the world's" 180 recognitions do NOT really matter,
unless you are satisfied now (after the UN Bid's success), with how the state of Palestine" really exists now.

And, FYI East Jerusalem Arabs have citizenship, if they want it,
and also No Permit means No Building for Jewish citizens too.

You are right Israeli borders are where Israeli tanks stop. It matters to those who subscribe to the rule of International Law to which Israel is a signatory of many such conventions. Reference East Jerusalem , Israel had declared the city as unified. It has expanded the municipal boundaries many times.Since 1968 , Israel had granted SEVEN construction permits in East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan ( one permit was issued as a payment for a collborator). Israel does not issue permits .

#3 - Total hasbara. EJ Arabs are not citizens. I know plenty or Arabs born, raised and living there who were issued "residency" not "citizenship." Second of all, Israeli sovereignty is only recognized by Israel. There are no international diplomatic embassies in jerusalem because jerusalem is NOT the capital of israel. They are all in Tel Aviv the REAL capital of Israel. Just because you annexed it, it doesn't mean its yours. Jewish homes aren't being demolished in Jerusalem. Why is that, huh?
