GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- The minister of health in the Gaza Strip has issued instructions to shut down a pharmacy and a medical clinic in the Gaza Strip due to serious irregularities.
Mufid Mukhalalati issued the instructions based on "serious and repeated" irregularities at a pharmacy, and the pharmacist was referred to a disciplinary committee, said Maher Shamieh, the director of the licenses unit at the ministry.
The pharmacy holds larges stores of medicine belonging to the ministry and UNRWA, the Palestine refugee agency, Shamieh said.
The official said the pharmacist, who he did not identify, had received warnings in the past.
