RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian prisoner in Israel's Ramle jail is filing a complaint against prison authorities for medical neglect, a prisoners group said Sunday.
Nahed Faraj Jadallah al-Aqra, 41, suffers from serious medical complications as a result of neglect and faces having his left foot amputated, the Palestinian Prisoners Society said.
"I have been suffering from medical negligence, but if they paid attention to my medical situation I would not have reached this point," he told PPS.
Another prisoner in Ramle, Othman Jamal al-Khalili, 32, is also suffering from a lack of medical attention and needs medication for diabetes, which he does not receive from Israeli prison authorities, PPS said.
Al-Khalili was shot in the back by Israeli soldiers and is paralyzed from the waist down
Both prisoners are due to appear in an Israeli court on Feb. 13 to contest different charges.
