NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Teachers in the West Bank will resume strike action on Wednesday in protest at the Palestinian Authority's failure to meet their demands, the union said Tuesday.
Teachers union spokesman Bassam Naim said schools would close for two days. He accused the government of indifference to teachers' complaints over irregular salary payments.
"The federation had agreed with premier Salam Fayyad on November 11, 2012, to give his government some time so as to grant teachers their rights. This delay ended today," Naim told Ma'an.
The union will meet Saturday to discuss further action, he added.
