HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Police forces have arrested several suspects in an armed robbery in Hebron last month, the director of police said.
Hebron police chief Ramadan Awad told Ma'an that the case is being jointly worked on by police and security forces, with several suspects in custody.
The investigation is ongoing and police will hold a press conference at a later date to brief the public about new developments, Awad said.
On Jan. 27, masked gunmen ambushed a car transferring Palestinian company funds to the bank to deposit money.
The gunmen chased the Unipal car before opening fire, shattering the windshields and bursting tires. They forced the driver to hand over one million shekels ($270, 000) and fled the scene, security officials said.
