Jihad delegation heads to Cairo for reconciliation meeting

GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- Islamic Jihad officials in the Gaza Strip headed to Cairo on Friday to attend a PLO reform summit as part of a series of reconciliation meetings in the Egyptian capital.
On Friday morning, an Islamic Jihad delegation headed through Rafah crossing to Cairo in order to discuss national reconciliation.
Jihad spokesman Dawod Shihad told Ma’an that the delegation includes senior Islamic Jihad officials Muhammad al-Hindi, Khalid al-Batash and Shiekh Nafiz Azzam.
Regarding the meeting of President Mahmoud Abbas and Ramadan Shalah on Thursday evening, Shihad said that the meeting was "positive".
