EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma’an) -- A man shot dead in the northern Sinai on Friday, amid a running dispute between two families in the area.
Sbaih Sumari Sbaih, 40, was shot in the head while driving in the city of el-Arish when his car was intercepted by gunmen, security officials said.
Two others in a nearby shop were injured by stray gunfire. Security officials believe they are not connected to the family dispute.
The rivalry between the Sbaih and Qasla families in northern Sinai dates back to January, when two people were killed and a kidnapping and arson campaign broke out between the sides.
