Medics: Hebron child injured by settler car

HEBRON (Ma'an) -- A child was injured in Hebron on Monday after being hit by a settler's car, a Red Crescent official said.

Baha Jamil Arafat al-Fakhouri, 8, was run over near the Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron's Old City and lightly injured, Nasser Qabaja, head of the Red Crescent's crisis unit, told Ma'an.

A 1997 agreement split Hebron into areas of Palestinian and Israeli control.

The Israeli military-controlled H2 zone includes the ancient Old City, home of the revered Ibrahimi Mosque -- also split into a synagogue referred to as the Tomb of the Patriarchs -- and the once thriving Shuhada street, now just shuttered shops fronts and closed homes.

'A child was injured in Hebron on Monday after being hit by a settler's car...' I'd say the settlers need to sit down and talk to their cars. They're positively homicidal.

Done on purpose. Happens all the time. Every Palestinian child counts - killed or injured. Driver probably receives standing ovations in Kiryat Arba, Avraham Avinu, Beit Romano and Tel Rumeida.
