EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Egyptian forces in Sinai on Thursday detained a suspected smuggler and seized a vehicle carrying car parts destined for the Gaza Strip, a security official said.

An Egyptian official told Ma'an that forces stationed at Kamen al-Rayseh checkpoint in el-Arish stopped an unlicensed vehicle carrying the car parts, which were to be smuggled into Gaza through tunnels.

The driver was arrested, the official said.

Perhaps Egyptian soldiers would be better keeping their own house in order
at the moment rather than worrying about smuggling into Gaza.

Egypt is keeping its house in order by attempting to stop stolen items from being smuggled into Gaza. Each smuggled item is a loss of tax revenue to Egypt.

True, "Egypt would be better keeping their own house in order", but also
True is that perhaps the "seized car parts en route to Gaza" had military equipment, or rocket building materials, hidden within for smuggling !!
